I'm so tired of these people calling most every day. I immediately answer, only to get a recording saying the caller has hung up, and that's after only one or two rings. Today they called both my office number and my cell number at the same time! Same thing, no one there, and when I call the number back, it says it is no longer in service. People, this is a SCAM! Legitimate collection agencies, as many say they are, do not operate this way. Since they seem to have a habit of asking for SS #'s, according to others on this thread, they are fishing for something they have no right to have. Don't give them anything! In fact, just don't answer them, and report it to your carrier. Maybe, if enough of us complain, someone will attempt to find out who they are and put them out of business. They are using what is known as robo dialers, so they are calling thousands of people at the same time. Just one person giving them what they are looking for, and what do you know, they have found a way to steal from you.

so, 405 is OKLAHOMA, which my caller ID displayed. But 555 is a fake prefix, which means the number is SPOOFED. It's a fake number, and that's why calling it back gets you nowhere. So what reputable firm bothers to call me with a fake spoofed number, and leaves no message? uhhhh I guess I don't care! Just don't bother to call back.

I got a call from these idiots to. 555 is not a valid exchange. I tried to forward them to Story Hour using my custom call forwarding and I could not because the number is not a valid US number :-/ however I was able to add them to my call block list. Unfortunately I had to remove some other idiot first because my call block list is full.

Mr.King said there was a situation in the office and I needed to call them right away, He made it sound like an extreme emergency. Left some 888# to call back. I didn't because if they were legit they would not sound that way and would leave more info about why they were calling. By the tone and urgency in his voice, it would upset a lot of people

They call 3 - 4 times a day. I check the caller ID, let the machine pick it up and it disconnects. Like the other posters noted here - the caller ID identifies it as "Dir Assist OK". Obviously a spoofed number. Answer at your own peril!

Called my cell twice. Each time asked for Zenobia george. Was a recording. If wrong number press 3. Did so and they still call back. Who are they calling and what do they want? Told them twice wrong number. Tried to call back and Verizon said call couldn't be completed as dialed. What is going on here???????

I have received phone calls exactly like this @ 6am pst and finally got an (888) 912-7923 to call back on. I was able to ascertain that this is a Debt. collection Co. that has expired debts from banks that are now closed due to bankruptsy. These ex-employees open up phone rooms and try to collect credit card debts from 1997- 2003. And as by law there is a statute of limitations on debts after "7" years!!! And the information they have on people is not enough so they ask for ssi #'s, addresses etc. to partially identity theft you into getting your money. Be smart, know the law & they'll move on and disappear or they'll wind up in jail.

i get this same call every morning at the same time....first it will come up as private but since i have trap call, the number is revealed to me...and sure enough its this number...they did leave me a voicemail tho telling me to call back 888-888-8888 lol wtf

I just now got this call. Its was from Mr king and it was urgent that I called back. He gave me the number 888-420-7733. So from the sound of it I shouldnt call back. Thanks guys!

I CALLED THE NUMBER FOR MR. LAN WHATEVER . THE YOUNG LADY SD THAT HE WAS THE LEAD PROCESSOR AND NOT A ATTOURNEY . AVSD THAT THE CALL RECORDING VIOLATES FDCPA . IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THESES PEOPLE CONTACT A ATTOURNEY AND GV THE ATTORNEY THE RECORDING ITS A EASY $1000.00 SETTLEMENT OUT OF COURT WITH THEIR COLLECTION CONPANY.
