got a call from this #, sounded so urgent , but when I picked up -it was a recording. Didn't intend to calback but want to find out more about this so that I could report it.

No one should have a 555 number. If you dial a 555 number with any area code, you get information. In movies or TV shows, if they show a phone number, it's always a 555 number, so no one gets crank calls. Somehow they've gotten the number to show up when they call. It could be the IRS - laws don't apply to them. They once called me and the number showed up as Sprint Customer Service.

Got a call from this number on 12/27/11 at around 11:15 am. An automated voice said "if this is (my name) press 1" so they got my name right. They said I owed over $100 on some AT&T service... I told them I haven't had any AT&T service for years. They insisted, and asked if my address was such and such... and even though I lived in that city, that was not my address. Then they asked if my middle initial is "M". I said I have no middle name, and the guy just hung up. I guess I shouldn't have said I don't have a middle name, as that is providing information, but this is clearly something fishy.

Got a voicemail from some dude, said it was really important and that he was from the office of the RS or VS, something like that: I called the number back, and got Sprint's 411 service. Called Sprint to let them know someone is using their 411 directory service to scam people of personal information. They submitted it to their fraud department. Good luck to the poor sod who will eventually get caught up.

THIS IS A COLLECTION AGENCY-MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEMENT (aka MCM). YES, I KNOW I OWE THEM AND NO I'M NOT PAYING OR CALLING BACK. SO THEY CAN JUST JUMP ON THE END OF MY LONG CREDIT REPORT WITH ALL THE OTHER BUSTERS!!!! THAT'S WHAT THEY GET FOR ALL THE INNOCENT PPL IN THIS REVIEW THAT'S BEING HARASSED :)

this just happened to me, it said it was VERY IMPORTANT and i had to cal an 888# but he didnt give me his name or the name of the company

This company is DRS 405-555-0199. Said it was a very important message and I call them back. Good luck on me wasting my time. they gave a call back number of 866-295-9370

i just got a vm from the same number saying the same thing that this was a Mr. Yang and it was an urgent matter. seems questionable to me.

Midland Credit Management..part of the Encore Capitol Group..bill collector..was trying to get me to pay off my sisters debt. Good Luck...;-)
