notices that the number is not familiar so I didn't pick it up... returned the call from a government office and the number answered with a recorded lady's voice "have a nice day", then dial tone...!!!
I received a call from this number 2.2.11. The woman (sounded Indian) asked if I wanted to reduce my credit card interest rates, and knew my zip code. She 'fished' to find out what cc I had, asking me if it was a card that start with "44".. I went along with it to see where it would go; she asked me how many cc I had and then wanted me to give her a card number - but it would be "secure because she does not need my security code". I told her I do not give out numbers over the phone; probably should have given her a fake to see where it would go! Star-69d to get the number, reported to police and state fraud organization. The number was not callable for a call-back...
I just got a call offering me lower interest on my credit card debt. I told them that I had no credit card debt, and asked how they got my number. I was told that it was from me filling out a request to have my credit card debt lowered. I told them that I had not done that, and that they were calling my cell phone, which number is unknown to all but my family. I was told the same thing over and over, and when I insisted on knowing how they got my number, he admitted that they just randomly pick numbers to call. I asked to speak to the guy's supervisor, then he hung up.I called the number back, and there was never any sound. My phone displayed "Connected" but there was no recording, no sound, no voice, nothing. After a few seconds, the call was dropped.I am on my state and the national "Do Not Call" lists. It doesn't seem to matter.
I received a call several time from this number but saw the words 'unavailable" on my call ID. Theyv'e tried to contact me in the past and when I've answered, I never allowed the conversation go as far as "No thanks" and hung up abruptly..I don't like solicitors who are pushy. When I googled this number and heard about 'Credit Services" and how they try to scam 900 bucks from you to lovew your credit card rates, I was glad that I blocked the number from my phone. Thanks people for posting your comments!
I recieved a call from this number and it said Montana on the caller ID. I pressed 1 because I wanted to see how far I could take this to figure out who it was. I pressed one and the person that picked up the line was laughing and giggling with their co-workers and than hung up on me. How unprofessional ? This is a scam! The credit card companies need to do something about this! Credit card fraud is getting too far out of hand!. It should be easy to track them down with electronic records and shut them down.
The infamous "Heather from Account Services" telemarketer that has been active for the better part of a decade. I keep complaining to to donotcall.gov and that agency does nothing to put these morons behind bars. Their operators are now off shore. This is a sleazy greedy company that operates outside of legitimate business practices. No one should ever do business with them. They are in two words: pond scum. This call was identified in caller ID as being from Montana. Everyone please keep complaining to donotcall.gov and perhaps someday a bureaucrat there will finally get tired of the complaints and DO HI JOB.
Here is what you all need to do which is what I did. Turn off your telephone ringer and keep the phone by you to see when the phone lights up when you get a call. If you don't know the number, don't pick up the phone and record the number and Google the number. If you want to be pro=active, then register with the local and national " DO NOT CALL REGISTRY" with your local and nation wide area. Then file a complaint with the FTC a.k.a. Federal Trade Commission and the next time they call, let them know you filed a complaint with these agencies. They will be fined by this agency. This will stop the calls for a while, maybe a year. Renew at least every year or so.
They hung up. It did say out of area on CID. When I reversed the number, it said that it was a cell phone. Once again, another scammer/telemarketer. The "do not call" registries do not work. They are ineffective and useless. They guys are why I never answer my home phone any more.
Scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do what I do... answer their calls and waste as much of their time as possible. This really screws up their scam operation when they have to talk to people who are wise to their lies.Pretend to be interested in what ever they say and keep them on the phone...These scammers are trolling for elderly, desperate or gullible people.
