These people ARE scammers. They are trying to get your credit card number and other info so they can charge you a whole lot of money for nothing. They CANNOT do anything for you. They CANNOT do anything TO you, no matter what they threaten, because they don't know anything about you unless you tell them. NEVER give them ANY information. NEVER answer ANY of their questions. If you think I'm wrong, remember this: THEY called YOU, so YOU have the right to ask the questions. They WON'T give you any answers because they're crooks! And that's why the Do Not Call list doesn't matter in this case. And that's why they won't stop calling. The simplest thing to do, to save your blood pressure, is just hang up.
If I'm home I like to pick up and hang up immediately; like press 'Talk" then "off" on my cordless without saying a thing. That helps to 'confuse' their computer as to whether they have a valid number or not. Not sure it 'helps' because I still get at least one call per day - all different numbers. But I don't tend to get 4-5 per day, like some people do.
every week I get a call from this "Client Services" company. Every time I speak to a person and I tell them to take me off the list and every week I get another call. They try to convey that they are from my credit card and want to help me with my credit debt (which I don't have).how do I make these calls STOP!?!?!?!
Got the phone call this afternoon. Doesn't say anything. I won't answer unless I recognize the number or they talk.
I'm on the Do Not Call list and I'm receiving messages from telemarketers. I wish not to be called. Thanks.
Got the call from this number about an hour ago. I live in Indiana.I assumed it was a scam when the recording said there was no problem and they could lower my interest to 6.99% without identifying the type of card or any other information. Press 3 to talk to a scammer. Wish I had an air horn sitting next to the phone.I hung up so hopefully the robo computer will not call back. You can never be too careful.
I have software that matches the caller id to a list of spammers I keep. When they call, the line gets picked up and they immediately get to talk to a modem. Fweeeeeeeeeeeeee dii oooop Fweeeee........This absolutely makes my day.
Just rec'd a call and happened to be home, so I answered - it's a recording from Rachael about lowering credit card rates. AARRRGGGHHH!!! Why can't someone enforce the Do Not Call List? I only answered it because it said "cell phone Florida" and my husband is a truck driver, and sometimes his coworker's numbers come up with odd info on the caller ID.
