rec'd robo call about my lost HSBC credit card - I don't have a cc with HSBC - directed me to push button on phone to contact security - call terminated
I was just called said my credit/debit card was locked and i needed to hit 1 to re-activate. I pressed 1 then realized this was a scam did not give them any of my info. Hang up if they call you.
Received this call - auto voice saying my Debit Card was suspended - then asked for the card number - scam
I unfortunately go a call similar to the others described and my husband got one just recently. Don't answer this call it is no good.
I just received a phone call from this number at 2:40PM today with a recording stating that my Wells Fargo Credit/Debit card has been deactivated and that I should press 1 to speak with security department. When I called the number back, it was some fabrication shop. I just hung up and called all my family and friends to ignore any call from this number. Oh what some people won't try.
Just got the call from these people myself. Checked with my local PD regarding it as well. People like this are definitely high on the list, along with Enron Exec's, for those that ought to be in jail for life + 1 year.
Wow am I glad I Googled this number. I got called today on my cell phone and missed it I calledy Voice Mail and there was a message that my debit card has beeen suspended and to press 1 to reavticate it. I called back the # and it was a legitamate business answering machine from a real company called Vector Fabrications. I feel sorry for this legitimate company getting spoofed.
I notice the posts go back to last year. Why is this still allowed? Good thing I sleep with a loud fan, because had I been woken up at 1:30 am when the call was made, I would have been ready to kill. This is NOT ok
Thank you for your comment. Believe me, if there was something that could be done about this Caller ID Spoofing – we would have done it long ago. You, and other people are only mildly inconvenienced by these unwanted calls. You have the option of simply ignoring the few you get. We are a different kind of victim here. We get 300 to 500 calls per day from people who have received one call. This goes on for a few weeks then, thankfully, we get a reprieve for a week or so -- but it then begins all over again. We are a legitimate business trying our best to serve our customers. Being on the receiving end of all this does test our patience.
