Got a call from this number today at 11:04AM. Did not recognize the number but says its from Gwynn Oak, MD. If they are SSA scammers, why is this allowed to go on for so long? Shouldn't they be shut down? Also, when are cell phone carriers going to start to provide Caller ID on numbers? I think we are long past due of this service so to help stop scammers, especially considering the level of fraud these days. Why is this acceptable?
Got a call from this number this morning on a Saturday no less. Some of you say to not be paranoid!!! This is the age when you need to be paranoid about getting unsolicited phone calls claiming this and/or that. SSA actually warns us not to give out any info and to call their official number (800) 772-1213 to verify. Better safe than sorry.

Called three times and left no message. The third time the name that came up on my phone was Authors Club president. I answered and the caller then said they were collecting on a debt, claimed they were recording the call. Scam.
