Got a message in Chinese. Since I don’t speak or understand this language it is completey irellevant to me. It’s a scam by the looks of things. I’ve blocked it as I never need to talk to the Chinese consulate and if I did, I would call them myself of visit them in person.
I got a call from this number followed by another call from a similar number (415-852-5547) about ten minutes apart from each other. Voicemails left were also in Chinese.
Received call from this number, but didn't answer. Left VM as all have specified above, probably in Mandarin. We did recently get a Chinese Visa for travel within the last month. However, travel is complete and no issues were had during travel. Won't be doing a follow up, especially because I have no idea what the VM said.
Rec'd call on cell at 11:49 AM, CID San Francisco CA. Recorded message in Chinese. Six pages of reports on this number, whoever they are they certainly are persistent
Called twice in very short time span to my cellphone. Blocked.
I get at least three calls a week from various numbers which has included this one. The message is in Chinese each time. I have blocked the number and the others. They still find a way to call my cell.
Beware this is a fraud. However they are not Chinese but Taiwanese. It said there was an important document for me to pick up. Then a Taiwanese accent man talked to me. He transferred me to "Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau". The guy from "Shanghai" also talk in Taiwanese accent (which is funny) and told me he needs to make a detailed record about me and my "case". Then I realized this was a fraud.
shrill, horrifying mud language recording. blocked.
Called wife’s cellphone twice in quick succession. Declined the call each time. No message left this time, but she has received two voicemails in Chinese recently. Clearly this is part of the call-spoofing scam abundantly described by others on this thread. Guess we’ll have to block them.
Thank you for posting this detailed information. The only thing I would have done differently is that I would not have given him my name. I would ask him who he was trying to reach. If he can not even tell me that, then he has no business calling my number.

Scam. An attempt to get bank account information and then a request to transfer money to the scammer's account.
I called Frontiers official phone number 1-800-921-8105, the agent I spoke to gave me this scammer number, they pretend to be frontier and offer a rebate and ask you to provide your bank account info to “send” the rebate. I hung up
Got a text from “SpeedX” from (844) 866-3737 stating that my delivery is on its way. It’s not clear what that is. I’m just a person not a company. It stayed to verify my address. Nope. The url seemed legit but didn’t click on it. Reverse ... read more
