This time the call was 9:15pm. They have called on Sundays and as late as 11:30pm. I have never picked up since Sundays are not normally a day to be doing this kind of business.
416-630-2172 is a Telemarketing company that calls people to subscribe to newspapers. I live with my daughter & son-in-law. All 3 of us are without a job so I cancelled by Sun Subscription. We have received 4 calls from these people asking why????? Today we received another call asking if we want the Star. I called the number back and got Silicone Sally (voice mail) stating if we had any issues I could call 416-630-6658. I did, and got her sister Silicone Sue. I left a voice mail clearly stating that I did not want anymore calls and the next call would be going to the Better Business Bureau.
Nice Job of explaining I only wish these people that like to complain have to do a few calls for a living and then they can see how we feel your right not the greatest job in the world but pays the bills thanks for the nice words
Thanks! I just called this number and they removed my number from their call list immediately. Before that I was getting 3 calls a day on my cell phone!
Debbie,The telemarketer may not have purchased a list of names and numbers as you suggested. Their automated dialing system may just be programmed to start dialing beginning with a random phone number each day. For example, their system may be set to start dialing 416-635-0000, and then just keeps going in sequence (416-635-0001, 416-635-0002, etc.) until it reaches 416-635-9999 and then starts 416-636-0000.
They called last night at 9:30pm, past the allowed 9 pm. I answered and they laughed and hung up. So much for being on the do-not-call list.
Me too. I had a pleasant conversation with the fellow who picked up (didn't ask him his name) and he was quite open about what they do - which is just as the call display denotes - a newspaper call centre to promote different newspapers. He promised to have my telephone number taken off by end of day.

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
