I AGREEEEE ... NOT WANTING A PHONE ANYMORE!!! Even on the DO NOT CALL lists but WE STILL GET THESE CALLERS!!!! IS NOTHING PRIVATE ANYMORE!!!!!!!!! Soon, we are gonna have to resort to a BLOCK ALL CALLERS, except those programmed!!! I might be on to something! Same number, same name came up 'newspaper call cn', put on my machine and they hung up! WHY MUST WE ALL HAVE TO CALL BACK, TRACK down places, TRY to get through ... TO PLEAD TO BE TAKEN OFF OF A LIST THAT WE DID NOT PROVIDE, AGREE TO BE ON or WANT to be harassed by, in our own private residence BY ANY MEANS!!! SOMETHING MUST BE DONE or phones are going to become completely UNWANTED!!! Where are the phone companies to help us with this?!!?! I am seriously considering canceling ALL SERVICES!

Hi Debbie,I have been receiving calls from this number for awhile, but I never answered them because I did not recognize the company. Thanks to this blog, I obtained the number to ask them to stop calling, and I just did that, but hooked up with the answering machine and left my message. At least the answering machine was polite. I hope they stop.

This number has been calling our house for months. I don't think we've ever answered this call. My husband finally blocked their number. They're pretty f***** persistent and annoying

A free and easy way to get back at them (& possbily get them to stop calling you) is to answer the call on your home phone and act legitimately interested. When then ask for your credit card, tell them to hold while you go get it. Leave the phone on and go about your day. Check in every hour or so to see if they hung up :) Best to do this on a corded phone.Think about it:You're doing others a favour by tying up one of their operatorsIt will REaLLY discourage them from calling you again.If you're not from TO, you're racking up their phone billYou'll make the operator reconsider working thereIt costs you nothing (on your home phone)You don't have to waste your time/energy calling the Sun, government agencies, etcIf you have call waiting, you don't have to worry about missing any calls.... and the list goes on. Bottom line, this is going to be the most effective way to get them from calling you again!

Very annoying salesperson. How many ways are there to say NO? If I were to consider buying the Sun Newspaper, I would not do it now. I am sure this is not what they had in mind. Hopefully, by answering they will go away.

This number has been calling me for a few weeks now not leaving a message and when I googled it I discovered that they are bothering alot of people. It comes up Newspaper call cn on my phone. Thank you.

Unfortunately - Newspapers are excempt from the DO NOT CALL LIST as they are considered educational resourses - Doesn't make a lot of sense as they are the worst offenders!

This company is called Newspaper Call Centre and is run by a person named Vince Iani. Call him to express your concerns....416-630-1944This is an auto dialler that calls your house and if there is no telemarketer available to talk to you (because they are on with other poor folks who answered the phone) it just beeps or lays silent. It will call you forever if you don't get through and ask to be removed from the dialing list...
