I am also in Cobourg.Call came in at 7 pm. No message left.I called the number at 9pm - no answer / no voicemail / no corporate message.Could only be a scam or children SCYPEing.A real marketing corporation would at least have a corp message stating " sorry we missed your call .. or dial 1 to be put on our no call list.JERKS with time on their hands!
When this company first called, I hung up when I realized I didn't know the phone no. Then they called again 5 minutes later. I checked the name and phone. no. on my call list then Googled them.
People who don't enjoy being cursed at should set higher standards for themselves than working for a [***] call centre. If you take a job with a call centre, you know exactly what you're being asked to do and how annoying it is. You get no sympathy from me.

Got my first call from these bandits today. Gee...the Do Not Call list is owned by the CRTC which is funded by the Canadian Government, which is funded by.....me! Most companies fire employees who don't measure up.......

It's from "Newspaper Promotions" Said to call back 416-630-6658, when I do, it says to leave a message.It's so annoying, that I just added the number as a contact with the name "crank call" which shows up when they call me now on my display, and I avoid the call, but it's still very annoying!!
This is a legitimate call centre for The Toronto Star as I did talk to them. More people are getting their newspapers on line, making it tough for the newspaper industry. Telemarketing is not the greatest job in the world and this is a legimate business so I do try to be nice to them, unlike the people who constantly phone and want to clean my ducts.

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
