I just answered a phone call from this same number, I researched it and I found all this info about this number, too much of a coincidence, I believe. I find it strange that they are calling me from a different phone number than the one listed on the real Summer winds Resort website. Everything else seems accurate but I wouldn't trust them anyways!
I've been getting calls from this number for 2 days. 16 calls so far. They never leave a message.
The lady is making it up, if u look at the bottom it says she is working for summer resort. Her story is fake.
I got this call yesterday while driving, then again today. When I answered, I had won "a greatly discounted price" to a resort in Branson, MO. I didn't let her finish, as I was driving and really didn't have time. TBH, she told me I had signed up for it at the fair? Anywho, that is who it is...telemarketer for a resort in Branson, MO.
I received a call from this number asking if I was the wife or fiance of so and so (stated the full name). When I stated that I was not, the caller hung up. No other details. Caller ID said Summerwinds Res.
Come to think of it, I filled out a form for a mini cooper for my friend at the 4-H Fair in Wausau, WI (as I thought he would like it, or sell it he needed a car). It was his name that the caller asked for. I think you hit the nail on the head!
Some of these stories sound so similiar to mine. I got a call from the number 417-339-1260. They said I won a discounted trip to brandson for $139 dollars. The place I would stay at for a vacation in brandson would be at Summer Winds resort. Foolish enough. I fell for it. I feel really sick on the inside for falling for this. If this is a scam I will put an end to it for EVERYONE!!!! I called the number back to find out that there voice inbox is full. Maybe that is a clue to alot angry people getting ripped off and thus meaning that this is a scam. They said I won it from a car drawing I entered at the Oklahoma State Fair (This year of 2008). Other things they did, were asking for the amount of income made from parents since I wasn't 25 (which they wanted a 25 year old person for this) credit card info and so on. So I gave them names and all the info they wanted. Now I come online to find out about this questionable call and I am furious!!!! Luckly there transaction was put on hold and I can prevent that transaction from going through then I will be okay but I if lose the $139 to them. I will go to brandson and find these PEOPLE and beat the [***] out of them for scaming me. I really believe this is a scam. I'm an idiot for not reading the details when filling out that card for the drawing.Foolish enough for these scammers was to call from a number that could be looked up on a reverse search on the internet. It gave away there location!
