They look for similarities in people who they are they are trying to collect money from so for instance if they are looking for someone whose last name is Maclin in GA and you have the same last name but live in AL and they have her number they are going to call to see if you know this person. At least this is what they told me. I didn't have to give them my ss# though.

I get a call at least 3 times daily from this number. When I ANSWER they stay on the line for a few second and hang up. Very fishy. When I call back I get an AUDIX recording saying please leave a message for "Message Center"!!So what I do now is play their game. when they call I call them back. It's quite fun actually.

They called this morning, it was a recording of a woman's voice with an irritating British accent, asking for some man. I hung up.

Called last evening and this morning, asked for Sharon. I don't know a Sharon.

This is in fact a debt collector. They sent me a letter. Which is very strange considering that any account that I have with Washington Mutual is in good standing. So what their scam is I have no idea. Anyway the company is: ER Solutions Inc. 800 SW 39th St. PO Box 9004 Renton, WA 98057 Telephone: 1-800-332-5078 Mon-Fri 7am-7pm PSTThe problem that I have with them is that the representative from this collection agency posed as an employee of Washington Mutual Bank. Under Federal law debt collectors are required to: 'meaningfully disclose their identities to the person at the called number'. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission www.ftc.gov and with the Florida Attorney General regarding this matter. I have also taken this issue up with WaMu and will seek whatever remedies are available to me under federal law.

These people call me over someone else. I tell them I don't know the person but they call continuously. When I try to call back the machine says this number is no longer in service, or it is not their working hours. At 1pm. When I answer and they talk I tell them I don't know anything about what they are saying they say we'll remove you from our records and call back. I am on social security disability. I can't keep dealing with them.

Thank you Mikey they did call those harrassment phone callers for me and they said to the police they make around 2500-4000 a month scaring us POOR innacent people like us (me being on disability) not oweing a dime so yes POLICE DO GET INVOLVED (but they still keep calling me i just ignore them or hang up) :-)
