I contacted Washington State's Attorney General's Office and they suggested that I call FTC because with the current technology - even though it may be a Washington State phone number, they could be calling from anywhere including overseas.

Very frequent calls from the low-lifes using this and other numbers, with the same song and dance routine about my computer as I see reported by others, my computer is putting out thousands and thousands of errors, apparently threatening world peace and global warming. They don't realize how STUPID the sound, but it seems that lots of people fall for this scam. Worst part is the time of day, sometimes the calls are as early as 6am, and as late as 10 pm. Is there any way to find out who the real originator is so they can be sued? Maybe that will get them to stop. Which government agency investigates consumer fraud? FTC?

A man with a South Asian accent claiming that Microsoft called them to say there are threats to my computer. Called the number back and there was no service.

My wife got a call from this number. they advised in a thick asian accent that they were from windows technical support and that we had a problem with our computer. They talked her into a remote control of her omputer and then wanted lots of money to repair it. she hung up after they told her he computer would not work without paying. she turned off the computer but when we turned it back on it would not reload. we took it to a local tech shop and they say it is a scam and that giving them a remote access to your computer is an invite for all kind of troubles. We receive phone calls at all hours...nothing more than a scam to access computer files. I turn my tv up as far as it will go and put the receiver there for 5 minutes. It works for a while.

Many years of these calls which I do not answer now due to being duped once...makes me yearn for a way for them to be stopped. I guess that is impossible????

He has an Asian accent.I was told my computer is at risk.I said I would call my service provider (Shaw cable)if there was any problem.He said he was Shaw.I knew it was a hoax.I said I had a dentist appointment and had to go.He said he'll call back later.I talked to Shaw cable(my service provider)and they said it's an identity theft scam.They get you to log into a website and get all your information.Clean out your bank accounts,identity theft,and put viruses on your computer.I wish there was a way of tracking these thugs down.Grrr.....

I am in Ontario. Just got a call from this number - a female voice said, "Hiiiiiii". Kind of spacey. No other communication just dead air.Weird!

called me during the weekend, I told him "Hey listen to me, let me talk", told him I didn't have a computer (lol) and to stop calling me, I would report him since I had his #, he hung up, I'm quite fed up with these annoying phone calls at all times of the day
