NRG & Associates harassed us with NUMEROUS phone calls about hiring them to collect an owed debt. Our company finally gave in and agreed to let them try to collect a $100,000+ claim owed to us. 1)They NEVER returned our phone calls asking for updates. 2) They agreed to a lower "settlement" amount without our authority or approval. 3) They proceeded to lie to us that they were waiting on the company to send them the settlement check in order for them to send us our collected money. After 10 months of endless runarounds, we've finally hired an attorney and have found that they endorsed a check made out directly to us and deposited it into THEIR account, and continue to lie about it. We've not seen a single dime. If you'd like to help us in our suit against them, contact me at fightagainstNRGscam@gmail.com
These guys are a joke all the things listed are true if you hire them to collcet money for you don't expect to get it.
Jeff Buono says in his post about that this is not representative of his company. I find that hard to believe. He is the VP of Sales. His scumbag sales people seem to all be coached the same way. We have been called numerous times and they all have seem to have the same training and a similar schpiel. Therefore, I think management is either complicit in their behavior or just inept and detached. Either way, this company, Haller, Harlan & Taylor, is bad news, at least for their sales tactics. To me, it seems that they are using their agressive and obnoxious collectors to do sales calls for them. How stupid is that! If these folks call me one more time, since I have asked them to stop calling, I will contact law enforcement. Why law enforcement and not the FCC?...because their calls are not simply telemarketing, they are harassing.
These guys are agressive, but the fact of the matter is they get results. I turned over a company that ripped me off for $25,000.00, the company was a corporation that changed the name of their company, and they still collected the money in 2 days. That are pushy but I guess that's probably because they deal with people that don't want to pay their bills.
If companies paid their bills we would not be in business. All of you debtors on this site should pay your bills like the rest of us AMERICANS and companies like this would be OUT of business. GO OBAMA!
Pay the ORIGINAL CREDITOR - not bottom-feeding 3rd-party scum! The tactics used by the #rd-party collectors are right out of the Gestapo! (Yes, I know, Godwin's Law...)
Caller claimed that my organization was indebted to a contractor whose bill we had paid in full 2 months prior to the call. Caller claimed that legal action was imminent and that my firm owed some ridiculous amount (down to exact dollars and cents, wonder whose [***] they pulled the number out of) and threatened to add "attorneys fees, immediate litigation, asset and liability search, and credit reportage (sic)" to said bill. The caller identified himself as being with HH&T and stated that he "had been retained" by our contractor. His suggestion? Send a cashiers check payable to Haller Harlan & Taylor within the next day (!), or an immediate wire transfer of funds directly to HH&T - or face legal consequences.Luckily, my firm was on excellent terms with our contractor and we quickly found out that not only had we paid our bills in a more than timely fashion, no one had ever contacted HH&T. At the very least, Haller Harlan & Taylor is guilty of phone fraud. We got lucky because we had fast and cordial communication with our supposed "debtors." Who knows how many folks their unscrupulous desk jockeys have scammed! Stay alert.
