This just happened to me too. I just purchased 2 domain names with GoDaddy and got a call from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I'll be blocking the number. I appreciate this site!
I received this call but what bothers me is that I paid $20 extra for extra security so my information won't be publsihed somewhere... and I believed it and then what? I get telemarketing... I want my money back!!!!!!!!!!!
Oddly enough, I can send text messages to this number without an error notification. I asked them where their manners were.They call me just about every day. [***] annoying.
I do not mind getting calls for issues of real importance to me, but not sales calls when if they wanted to sell then the offers could have been by email or online because I tend to start feeling postal with sales calls I did not ask for. I forgot what I did to trigger a call until I remembered checking out the cost of renewing my multi-website hosting for a few more years versus their special that new users could sign into for a number of years. Being loyal was twice as expensive as fresh blood, and I was debating ending my hosting as I was not using but a fraction of its value, and only for handicap awareness which is starting to feel like a waste of time anyway. So I left a two year renew in their cart without finalizing it so they must have called to make a better deal but if they wanted my business then they need to offer a deal by email or see why a customer with little traffic would not want to pay more than the bargain they are offering new users.
If any spammer is calling your cell phone, download and install "Mr. Number" NO ONE can reach you if they are not listed in your phone contacts. I LOVE THIS APP!!!!
It is Godaddy. It is not a scam and the person that is saying its a scam STFU and go away. I come to this site to find ACCURATE information not ignorant dumbasses screaming over their own idiocy.IT IS GODADDY. Answered the call, they were nice and polite and the call lasted 30 seconds. IT IS GODADDY!
I just signed up the other day and I have already received two calls in less than a week. I called them back and the guy wanted my credit card information to put me on the do not distrub list...what is that about? I swear if I keep getting calls I will cancel the and file a complaint.
