It is hardly unreasonable to expect calls from the people that you do business with. I have never recieved a call from GoDaddy for the sole purpose of sales, and I have a number of products with them. If they are calling for orientation, that is a service for you. They may also tell you about other services that may be useful to you at that time. Is that really unacceptable? I have recently received a call from GoDaddy because I have a domain that is expiring (on purpose) and they wanted to make sure I was aware of it before the domain had expired. If they want to tell me about a new email feature while I'm on the phone with them, SO WHAT? Some of you people need to disconnect your phones if you are so worried about getting a call from a company YOU ARE DOING BUSINESS WITH!
Called. Left no message. Without a message, I will consider this unimportant, but note: A couple of days ago I received a call from Go Daddy trying to sell me products. The timing of their call was bad and I asked them to call back another time. Might have been Go Daddy, but they could have identified themselves. by leaving a voice mail, so assuming it was for sales purposes.
Just received a call from this number and they wanted me to give out our pin # to them. No way.
It's godaddy. They are calling customers who are on their old version 6 platform because they are getting rid of that platform and replacing it with version 7. They want to make sure that people's websites are not deleted when they are switching over. They do have multiple numbers depending on who in their call center is calling. I called their main number back and asked about this number and they confirmed it is one of their switch numbers.Identity theft is scary but this time it really is the company.
I just got a voice mail from Zack to thank me for my continued business and remind me of an upcoming domain renewal. I've gotten a million emails about the domain renewal. If I cared, I would have renewed it already!I got a call from them about a year ago and complained loudly, threatening to leave them. It stopped until today. I'll never do business with them again. This is a clear reason not to use godaddy.@Jack: It is extremely unreasonable to expect calls (especially sales calls) from people I do business with online. In the last year, godaddy is the only merchant I can think of that has called me, and I do a lot of business online.
no, theyre not. you did business with them. there is a expectation of followup and terms to that effect are 99.9% of time spelled out. thats a ridiculous statement
I WROTE BOBPARSONS.COM (does he have a Jesus complex, 'cuz he's got a "What would Bob Parson do?" tab on his Godaddy "vanity blog" - so I sez:Dear Jesus:I keep getting harassed by telemarketing calls from Godaddy about renewals for which I already received emails, and you know, I wuz gonna renew but the one thing I cannot stand is this invasion of my phone privacy, so now I don't know whether to renew! Prolly not!!! WAY TO GO DADDY!I also have privacy.
