Stop calling here!

I received a call from 480-649-2753 from a woman who sounded 90 years old and said her name was Delores. I could barely understand her but she wanted to know if I was "pro-life"--when I told her I was a registered Republican and a former Planned Parenthood volunteer her tone changed and she rudely said, "Well, if you volunteered for Planned Parenthood, you believe in kililng babies and I have nothing more to say to you....." and click she was gone. I really wanted to engage her in a discussion since I went to the trouble of answering her call. :-)

I recieved a call from 480-603-3796 2 days ago and then a call from 480-649-2753 just a few minutes ago. The 480-603-3796 comes up as a 'political call' on my caller ID and the latter comes up as 'unknown'. I didn't answer the 'political' labeled phone call - but I answered the 'unknown' call and I heard a click and they hung up after I said hello. By the looks of these posts I guess I can expect to continue to receive these calls - unfortunately. I am a member of the DO NOT CALL Registry.

Keep getting calls from 480-649-2753 and no one answers.

This must be the third or forth time getting a do not talk then hang-up call from (480)649-2753. First time some lady asked if I was pro-life or pro-choice but hung-up before I could explain to her how I felt on the issue. The calls are always from 7:30-8:30 p.m. and my caller I.D. says its a Political Call so being on the do not call list doesn't help. When I try calling the telephone number it says it can not be completed as dialed. Sent this information to the local F.B.I. office and hope they forward it to someone who can get this &*% person some help.

I have been getting calls from this number repeatedly. Sometimes no one is there and sometimes I don't answer in time but messages are never left. I finally answered just now 8:20 PM Dec. 3, 2009 and it was a man claiming he was with the Pro Life Coalition and was doing research on the subject. He asked me my affiliation, whether I was Pro life or pro choice and I informed him that I was pro choice. He kindly thanked me without provocation and ended the phone call. I would have assumed that if he represented a pro life organization and took the time to call me that he'd at least try to swing my opinion. But no, just politely ended the call. Just thought it was strange enough to look it up.

I will report this number as well. However, the National Do Not Call list prohibits callers trying to sell you a product or service. It is legal for organizations to call you for surveys and charitable, political, religious, etc. donations.If you are still receiving unwanted calls from organizations making these types of legal phone calls, you may request their organization to remove your number from their calling list.For more information on exactly what types of calls are/are not legal to be made to numbers on the federal Do Not Call list, please visit www.donotcall.gov.

Michelle, Maybe you should read the "Do Not Call" rules pertaining to who can and cannot call your home. You will notice that political calls are allowed.
