September 1, 2009 received a call at 5:00 pm Eastern time from 480.649.2753. Answered and the caller said his name was "Winston" and he immediately asked if I condsidered myself Republican or Democrat. I told him I didn't care to receive these calls and he told me, "Then don't pick up your phone." and hung up.When I called back, I got the canned message they play. PCC, some sort of political action group.
Customer service rep - gal said she was form the Republican Party, wanted to know if I was a regerested Independent Republican or Democrat. I toldher I am regerested, but I did not know WHO SHE WAS AND I WOULD NOT DISCLOSE MY PARTY AFFILATION.
I have received a suspicious call from this number... Coincidentally I was in Phoenix, AZ several days ago, hummm!
I get the same thing. The "do not call" is getting to be a joke. We get so many bogus calls for political ads, surveys and you name it that we don't even pick up the phone anymore if we don't recognize the number.
Called 9/9/2009Caller identified himself as associated with Republican Party. Was doing a push poll.
