It's a scam. They say your comp. is affected with a virus then want you to go to comp. and type in what they tell you. You are actually infecting your comp with the info they give you. They then charge you mega bucks to fix it. DON'T FALL FOR IT. I just had another call from a indian accent for the second time. I let them go on and on and then hang up
A man called with very broken english telling me that he was with Windows, he said for the last few days my computer has been downloading junk. Then he asked me if i am in front of my computer.i said yes he said i will wait for u to turn it on asked what do u see on ur screen I told him my farm i have been playing it...he went to telling me to click the windows key...i asked how do i know ur who u say u r...he said back A**Hole and hung up
Left recorded message claiming to be from the IRS. The IRS is about to file a lawsuit against me. Press 1 to speak to an agent or call 202 798 0967 to deal with the issue. The sacks are getting more creative.
They call everyday recently, sometimes two times in a day. Number shows with name "unavailable". The woman, with a south Asian accent starts off by saying that she is calling about problems with my computer Windows, or just hangs up when I answer. This is a scam and I would not even pick up the phone, except that the disabled person who is in my care, would then pick it up and there would be more problems. So I tell the caller to stop calling and that I know it is a scam.

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
