To the user "pay your bills" you can just shut up you corn holing piece of sh*t! You probably have a boyfriend who takes care of your finances, so just shut up. Get laid off some time and then have these evil motherf*ckers threaten your life and see how well YOU deal with it. Behind on paying or not, they have NO excuse to make death threats, yet they do it anyway. So f*ck you!

My rate was also raised for no reason this past summer. I think Citibank made several bad (mortgage) decisions a few years ago, and granted mortgages to a few folks that should have rented for a few more years. And when those loans defaulted (shocker), Citibank (and several other banks) cried fowl to the federal government. So when our government gave those greedy bankers large amounts of (free) bailout money, I'm sure it was with the intent that the banks would NOT Double-Dip... and collect funds from both our government AND from good, law-abiding, tax-paying citizens!!I spoke to a Citibank rep about a month ago, who told me that Citibank had raised everyone's (customers and employees) interest rate to 29.99%. A lawyer just told me that the national cap for interest rates is 30%. So Citibank has raised everyone's rate to just under the cap. That way, when the goverenment "freezes" interest rates (coming up soon) - Citibank with be sitting pretty and collecting huge amounts of undeserved funds from all it's accounts. Why is that NOT robery of illegal for Citi to do that??? I'm looking into legal options....

They would not be calling if you were up to date on your bills. They do not just call for no reason. And they can call anytime from 8am-8pm and not be in violation of the Fair Credit Act. I am late on my Sears that is why they are calling! The only problem is, is that I was Perfect on my bills and then they decided to raise my interest rate and what I had to pay monthly because I was late ONCE on my car payment. It affects all cards, and its LEGAL for them to do it. So paying them 100.00 a month now instead of the 50.00 I was paying is now impossible. So they can just keep on calling

I would be happy to pay if they didn't arbitrarily change your interest rate from 5% to 29.99% just prior to the new govt. rules. they got their bailout money and are still trying to stick it to people. Karma is a [***] Mr. Banker. Maybe you all will get cancer early and die.

Not much point in getting nasty with people online because they made bad financial decisions. A perfect person would likely have better things to do. I think its wrong not to pay someone back if you said you would (signed a contract). Most people on here would see it different if they were the one who mistakenly loaned the money and would be pretty upset that they were not going to be paid back. They might even feel that they should not pay the penalty for others problems regardless of whether they caused them or were the victim of chance. I intended to pay my debt off but things got out of hand. It is what it is now and I dont make any excuses. The world didnt conspire against me I just made bad decisions instead of the good ones made by those not in this situation. I intend to change the situation and the way I do things to succeed in the future. The important thing now is not sit there doing the same thing you have always done and not waste time blaming anyone any company the world or God for your predicament. If you cant see you made mistakes then you have problems far worse than financial ones. The world is not just and niether are the credit card companies but you cant change them only yourself and you cant change if you think the whole world revolves around you, is here to serve you and that you are absolutely perfect and correct in all things.I do find that setting the individual ringtone to mute for each new # really cuts down on the times they get to make my phone ring and they have yet to leave a message.

This number has called twice today but no message was left. I do not have an account with Citi Bank or Sears. Wish I could block them from calling at all. This site helped me find out who it is and now I can ignore the number.

They keep calling me about a Sears balance. I know I owe it but my husband and I have been out of work for almost a year and my kids come first! They sent me a letter that it will be handed over to an attorney. Why do they want to pay attorney fees and all that instead of try to work with me? Any one else been actually taken to court? How long did it take?

No problem I pay my bill but they still call and don't say anything. I can understand them calling but to call and then hang up over and over is strange.
