This number calls my home business line every evening like clockwork, sometimes at 6pm and other times after 9pm which is unacceptable. I took the advice of the other posts instructing others to visit the website of the R Bernett company and entered my number on their do not call list. I also have Comcast call block so they became one of many added to my blocked call list. I pay extra to be unlisted but somehow they still manage to get my number. Good luck!
As invasive pest calls go, this one is only average for me. I see that they pester others every day or even more than once each day. They haven't called me every day... at least not yet... and have only been calling me for two or three weeks so far and yes, late in the evening, and they're stupid (or brazen) enough to come through on CID with the same company name every time, so it's easy to ignore. And their behavior so far has been to ring the four times that it takes to trigger my outgoing message, and then they disconnect. But I read above that they called one person after 2 a.m. so perhaps I should turn off my ring before I go to bed... Not that it would wake me up because I sleep with earplugs, but it would disturb my pet. They're really stupid to call at such times, because it only earns our ire, and they should be trying to earn our goodwill if they want something from us. Frankly, I would strongly advise everyone to not give out personal or intimate information or opinions to any strangers, no matter who or what they say they are, in person, by phone or online. Why you would treat this any differently than you would a stranger who bangs on your door, demanding to be let in? Both are dangerous. You have the good sense to not let suspicious strangers into your home just because they demand it. Why would you let a stranger ask you personal information? How do you know who they really are, who hired them, what the real purpose is, and who they will next share or sell that information to?
Ignored call as I did not recognize name "R Bernett" or #. Machine picked up, they hung up...
Harassment!!!!!!!Why doesn't Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer do something about all this harassment instead of wasting time banning plastic bags???? Give me a break!
Go to the site bernett.com There is an opt out link at the bottom of the page. We'll see if it works.
This number has recently started calling me. Since it is an unfamiliar number I searched it online and discovered there were a lot of others very upset from the calls and who have had complaints. To prevent further issues in my life I would like to not receive calls from this number any more as well.
This number called my house at around 8:30 last night. Here's roughly how the conversation went:Them: Is [Jane Doe] there?Me: Who's calling?Them: Jeremiah Miller.Me: Who?Them: Jeremiah Miller.Me: Where are you calling from?Them: Is she there?Me: Where are you calling from?Them: Is she there, or should I talk to you?Me: Where are you calling from?Them: I'm kind of in a hurry, so should I just talk to you?Me: Fine, talk to me.Them: I'm conducting a survey....That's when I hung up. Blocked the number so they can't call again.
First time to see the name 'BERNETT RSCH' AND the phone number 503-575-7964 on my caller ID.I wasn't home when the call came in. I NEVER answer calls that are out of my area code. The Don't Call List does work because it stopped the many telemarketer calls I use to receive. Now it's mostly charity organizations that call.
Heinz, some places still have such sequential numbers. For instance, when I call my local library and get a busy signal, I redial one digit up and they answer, Of course, they also wanted to know how I got that number because they think it's private for staff only, but I just took a guess thst it would be a rollover, and I was right. It still works in a lot of businesses.
