This name of this company is VuPoint research. The name RDD research is a ruse. They specialize in gathering information for large corporations so they can market more products to you. By the way, this information is also sold. Currently they are doing this for Comcast. If you are a Comcast customer you are likely getting a lot of these calls and when you open your email you are getting window opening that ask you to take a survey and will not will not close.

Received a call from 503-977-6714. Caller id said 'MDC Research'. I never answer calls from numbers I don't know. They didn't leave a message.

This call was received on June 20, 2009 Saturday in Spokane - Asking about local political issues; mentioned 2 local politicians (Mayor Mary Verner and County Commissioner Todd Mielke) by name; 3 local organizations (Greater Spokane, Inc, a Chamber of Commerce equivalent; Homebuilders Association; and Envision Spokane,an initiative organization. The call was from Las Cruces, NM, for RDD Field Services, located in Portland, OR.

Received several calls, but I answered call today and was told the company is doing water survey in Clark County [Nevada].

Called my cell phone Jul 30, 2009 at around 6:45 pm. I did not answer, they did not leave VM. If they are taking surveys and not selling something, maybe that lets them bypass do-not-call? Also, from other posts here it sounds like they are just a company that is hired to do surveys on behalf of other entities. They are probably getting our names and numbers from someone who has hired them to survey voters or customers or former customers or whatever. There are call centers that do that kind of thing, both on the calling end (like this) and on the receiving end (multiple phone numbers going to one call center and what company they say when they answer depends on which number your call came in on.)Does sound like their equipment has issues if they routinely can't hear callers though. :P

Received a call from this number at 8:49 pm on a Thursday evening. Went to voice mail but didn't leave a message. I tried to call back this number but it just kept ringing. Is this place exempt from the Do Not Call list???
