It is a firm which does research surveys for different companies. I got the call regarding Vonage.

These morons have now called eight straight evenings b-tween 5pm and 8pm. Annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best guess is that they either (1) simply randomly dial - with the technology available today, they can quickly whip thru thousands of #s rapidly in succession - if no answer machine/computer will just go on to next - repeat as wanted ... if there is a pick-up robo can then play message, or wait to see if one of their 'humans' is available. This way, don't have to have any particular list - the machine either hits or misses, and makes little difference - to the machine, that is.Or (2) cell phone numbers are now ubiquitous enuf that relatively easy to pick these up in the 'cloud' (including social media, etc.)

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
Phone number calls multiple times a day, once someone from my office picks up, it is dead silence on the other line. When you try to call back, it is a number that is not in service.
