Am no where near Oregon. But first many thanks for all these posts from others taking to inform ourselves. Am not so sure is not some law not applying To their inexcusable behavior , particularly harassing disabled(one post mentioned how hard ti reach phone in wheelchair), & callers argue instead taking for an no for an answer.I have not answered, but when called their number it rings , answer.

I received a call from this number on 7-19-2008. Did not leave an answer. How can these people call when I am on the do not call register?

A man called my cell phone on Friday from 503-977-6714 at about 6:00 pm and asked for my wife. He said he was with the City of West Linn. I received a second call on Sunday from 503-977-6714. This time it was a woman who said she worked for the City of West Linn. I asked her why the city would be calling me on Sunday when they are closed. She paused for about ten seconds and hung up. Seems like some sort of scam.

Called and hung up....

They do that because they have no legal basis to collect, so they rely on nonsense.

This caller woke me up last night when she called me at 9:45pm on my cell phone. The caller was a female that did not speak English. I have no idea what she wanted. I terminated the call after she could not speak English.

I just answered thinking it was someone else and it was a gentleman doing a survey for Vonage. The only weird thing was that they called me on my cell phone and didn't have my Vonage # for whome they were calling on behalf of. Harmless survey, but surprised they would call at 7:45 pm to do a "short" 15 minute survey.

two calls from these guys this evening, I did not answer, and no messages left. best advice is never answer calls from numbers you do not know. anyone who REALLY needs to speak with you will be intelligent enough to leave a message.
