This number called my cell yesterday. I haven't signed up for anything recently. As a matter of fact, I JUST changed my cell 2 weeks ago. Now these calls have started. I want off the list. :)
Don't justify lying, misrepresentation, and fraud by using the excuse of buyer beware. You obviously work for them. So why does a company offering a good product have to resort to such low, scumbag, annoying marketing ploys and outright lies to get people in the door?
Their call center is in a suburb of New Orleans. I did some research on this company and found out a few odd things that some of you might be intrested in. First of all they are a front for a company called Travel Advantage Network. If you look this company up on the BBB you will find quite a few addresses for them and different company names listed. there is a Southern Journeys of Texas too.
I went to the presentation, but before I did, I checked Southern Journeys out with the Better Business Bureau. They have an "A" rating, so I went with an open mind to the presentation.I did not feel pressured in any way.I chose to purchase the plan they offered and have taken vacations with them. The accomodations are first rate, and I never have a problem booking a vacation.I find it amazing that all of you folks crying wolf do not own the plan. You went to a presentation and got a free $300 gift and went home to [***] online because you can't afford to buy the plan. So sad.And for those of you that think Southern Journeys is a scam, check out the Better Business Burea. The only complaints they have are these online scam buzzes that are from people that are NOT owners of the plan. You can't buy it online, and that should be a clue to you. Online travel companies are a scam.Southern Journeys is a sales office for Travel Advantage Network, and that company has a stellar rating with the Better Business Bureau as well. So, if you have an invitation to go and listen to the presentation, go ahead and get the free $300 gift. If you buy the plan, that is up to you, but you will still come away with a vacation for which you only pay taxes. And it only costs you 90 minutes of your time. Then, after all is said and done, don't go bitching online and complaining about a company that you know zilch about. My 2 cents worth.
I dont care if you are doing your job. If you call my number again after I Repeatly told you all to stop calling, Im going to come to this office and slap someone. Thanks
I received my 20+ call in 2 weeks this morning from this #. I asked the lady to not call any more. Her response was very rude stating their was a reason for the call. Then why haven't they left a message when they have received my answering machine.
If you call 504-620-1231 you get a person and they can put you on a "do not call" list.
They call me about six times a day...if I answer there is no one there. How can we stop them???? I'm on the do not call list.
got a call from them. i was chosen as a finalist in the drawing for a 2008 Chevy super crew one ton diesel at the SHRINER CIRCUS. i was to get a free vacation if i agreed to come and listen to their presentation on vacation. my hubby and i went. was interested in what they offered, but the prices were REDICULOUS! we had actually wanted to buy one, but the kid would not SHUT UP! so we told him forget it. we walked out without purchasing anything and our supposed "free trip". and i agree with the others on this blog...why in the heck do they need to know our annual income for a free trip?? sounds scamish to me. dunno if we will even complete the free trip thing. and the calls...well...let's just say they have gone to unknown caller and when i answer, they hang up. don't fall for this thing. it's a joke! and i would also like to say that if you signed up to win something in a drawing like this...the company providing the prize is not affiliated with these Southern Journeys of Oklahoma. please remember they are only providing the prize. Thanks everyone!
Yes, you actually do get a trip. I went not to long ago and got mine. There is a seminar that you listen to about their travel program, then you get it and some other gifts. I already registered mine but I havent went yet. I also bought 10 vacation weeks but havent used those either. It seems legit. I called them once to get some info and they were really friendly. Ill write back when I schedual my date and let you know how it went.
