Received a call from this number to verify my shipping address from an order I placed online at macys.com I paid the order with a Macy's gift card.
Got a call to confirm an online purchase from Bloomingdales, look at my credit card online account someone made a purchase. All they were concerned about was my ssn name and date of birth.
I got a call from the same number and called back they wanted to confirmed the address for delivery, i guess i have purchase a few times during the week and is a business address the deliver. I was hesitating but they did send me an email they were trying to reach me about my order.
This was Macy's Consumer Protection seeking to confirm an order that I had made online. They are required to call the number that was provided to them at the time of the order. If the order isn't confirmed they will cancel it.
It's just macys calling to confirm it was me who placed an order so they can ship it out.At first I didn't answer (because I usually don't answer unfamiliar numbers) but then I answered the second time when I read the comments on this site..I'm kind glad they do that...makes sure that no one is fooling around with your credit info
This call was from Macy's Credit Dept concerning possible fraud on my acct- the charges were fraudulent and the problem resolved.
I received a call also BUT it was in reference to sending out a credit to me that I had been trying to get for 3 months. They were verifying my address, were legit
Got a call from some call center. When they said the call would be recorded I said I don't agree and hung up. They called back and I blocked the number. They then spoofed the number so the caller ID had MY name and number. Have never been in a Macys nor are there any close. Too underhanded to be legit.

This Is NOT Wells Fargo! It does seem legit, but it is NOT. I called Wells Fargo & they said no one called me. ALWAYS call the # on the back of your credit card no matter what company it is.
