They just called again today a few more times. This time I was caught off guard, hadn't looked at caller ID and was expecting a call. Same idiot Indian scammers, saying "I'm here to talk to you about your Microsoft computer!" Said to the guy "You don't know what you're talking about because I have an Apple computer. Dumbass!" He hung up. Called again an hour later and then one more time after that. I didn't pick up. I never should have picked it up. I guess they'll be calling me multiple times daily now instead of just once a day.
This guy called from 516-635-4085 with a whole bunch of nonsense saying he was from "Microsoft" and my "system drivers" were all messed up. He said I wouldn't be able to tell just from using the computer, but that he was going to help me fix it. He asked me if I was the main user of the computer and then told me to go to my computer and sit in front of it and he would guide me thru the process. At one time I had a Mac repair business, so I know a bit about computers and I thought I'd have a little fun with him, so I kept him on the phone to waste as much of his time as possible. He finally gave up on me and told me he had the wrong number, and hung up. The guy had an Indian accent and there were call center noises in the background. Definitely a scammer, please do not give them any information about your computer!
I get unwanted calls from this number several times a week. Please put on do not call list!!! Annoying!!#
How do we get these people to stop calling. I yelled at him to quit calling me and he says "why are you yelling at me". I told him because I want you to stop calling!. I told him I'm reporting them and that I WANT TO BE TAKEN OFF THE CALLING LIST! He said he would, but I doubt it. Where can we report this to get them to stop?
hung up when i picked it up when I called back it said the number was not a working number
Get a cheap answering machine that shows caller ID. If you don't recognize the number, do nothing while your machine takes the call. They hang up. After a few more tries, they stop calling. At least that's been my experience. Best $25 I ever spent.
I received a call from this number. I let the girl go on for 3 minutes explaining that MS was trying to fix a problem with my computer. After receiving at least 4 of this scam artist calls in the past I said " do all you foreigners think that everyone in the United States are idiots" . She then hung up
