This scammer keeps calling my home says he is with Microsoft windows. Excessive calling. Why can't FTC or somebody do some about these cold calls? What good does it do to sign up on no call list?
This number calls my home daily and claims to represent Microsoft Tech support. I have no issues with my PC.
Receive about 10 calls from this number 516 800 8000, Hicksville, NY, each week. There is not voice on the other end.Prior to no voice, the caller said he was from Microsoft, and explained that there were errors on my computer. The guy had me type a url into browser that brought up a web site and he asked that I download something from that website. I asked that he prove who he said he was. He then directed me to a Microsoft partner web site and pointed out a number to call. I hung up, called that number, and there was no answer. These seems to be some kind of phishing scam. Hope no one falls for it.
This number calls at least 3 times a day. He once said that there was a problem with my internet and i hung up on him. That was a few weeks ago. Now when i answer he just hangs up. I am also on the do not call list. I just call blocked them bc they are calling at 8 pm!!!
I've been having the same issues with this number so I called Comcast and they recommended that I use *60 and block the number from calling me. Hopefully this works!
Called this am said he was from Microsoft he was told that we had his number and calling Microsoft as when we got off the phone with him Told not to call again
We have been receiving relentless calls from these people. I got instructions from my phone company's unlawful calls dept. on how to trace their call next time. We'll see if they can trace it and hope not too many victims download their computer back doors.
