Hi Sara, I have been scammed for the same rent house. I paid by Western Union and then gbnson@yahoo.com didn't replay the emails that I sent him.Be careful.

I fell for the scam with Nicolars Smith, also sent money to wendy accurso in VA. its obvious that all of these posts are being run from same person. I am going to do my best to report this to whoever will listen- not that i expect my money back- i just think its [***] that someone can so easily get away with committing this crime over and over and not be punished.

I've got a few more names for you. I replied to theier listings for apartment rentals in NYC and received almost identical Emails from the following persons: Nicole Jams and Jane Synovec (we've read the names before), Rose Brooks (came across her name in some othe craiglist scam bust), then there is Caroline Kelly, Mike James (Nicoles brother?) and Jay Marcors. Look at all these names. They all sound alike.Of course all the emails asked for imediate money transfer via Western Union or Money gram - that are not traceable. identical last words from all of them: "So get back to me now if your ready for the booking so that i can send you a booking form the payment can be make via Money gram Transfer." When i asked for paypal - no answer! as i thought :)I gues i can give up the idea of a affordable rental in Manhattan :/

Unfortunately we have found this website late. We found an advertisment for Sherri Gordon apartment in the West Village and we paid 500 USD. Since that payment was not possible to contact her on e-mail or cellphone. So really BEWARE of Sherri Gordon!

Hi Mike, I´m from Argentina, I have recently been scammed by this JANE SYNOVEC, who sent to me exactly the same email.......in my case I lost $525

Just did the google search for her name (Sherri Gordon new york) and would like to express my appreciation to the page creator and postings. saved me a lot of stress in travel. so where do I find a place to stay? where are the reputable sites or postings found?- shoots
