This is a collection company from London, ON: Aktiv Capital. They will bother you with their robo-dialer. Use a call filtering software to block them. I use "Buzz Off" for the BlackBerry. The pi ck-up and hang up feature is polite enough for these robo-dialers.

This company is AKTIV KAPITAL - and yes, they spell their name. Debt collector. It would be nice to be able to speak to a person to say that they have the wrong ###.

they call me atleast twice a day. i get a automated voice msg. if i pick up long enough to hang up, they call my cell number. they have been calling me daily for over a year.it is an organization that has no legal authorization to call but won't stop.

They have started to call me. Since about 6 years ago I have badgered by different collection agencies looking for some one with the same last name as mine. At the beginning I tried to explain to them that they had the wrong number, at times they got rude and aggressive.The following year it looks like they transferred my number to a different collection agency looking for the same person and again I stupidly tried to reason with them, to no avail. It has been like that since then. Now I let my answering machine talk to them. This year is number 519-963-8038, they left a message in myanswering machine which was polite but that will change when I don't call them back. I believe the "no call" organization allows collection company to harass you, but I am going to report them anyhow.

By law once you tell them to quit calling your home they have to or you can report them to the appropriate government agency..This applies whether you owe them money or not...Also, it is with my knowledge that once the two year limit has passed and you have not made any arrangements for payment you are no longer liable to "harass" you.
