I got a call from this number last night. The guy said he was from the local jazz station and wanted me to renew my membership. When I said I couldn't afford it he got more persistent. The whole call seemed kind of strange that's why I looked the number up this morning. When I call back the number I get a mesage saying "the operator is away from the phone right now" or something like that! Scam!! I think it might be a scammer trying to get credit card numbers. Beware!!
I get calls from this number all the time, and I try to call back and it says that the service person is unavailable and to leave a message. I have no idea what this is about. It sounds like some type of scam or telemarketing.
called me today at about 3:45 here in NYC on my cell. No idea how they could have gotten my #.
I continue to get calls from 541-864-1492. They never leave a message and when you call the number back (from a different phone of course), it states the following message: "Unfortuntely the operator is on another call or he stepped away from his des. Leave a message with your phone number and name and he will get back to you." THEY NEVER STATE THE NAME OF THE COMPANY. I AM ON A "DO NOT CALL" LIST. This is harrassment. I DO NOT WANT ANY FURTHER CALLS FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL WHATEVER THEY ARE.
Same number has made its way into Canada, Montreal. iPhone needs a way to block calls. Then we could dump these guys.
I got a call from this number twice in the last 2 days. I appreciate being able to find that this is just a nuisance call. I have "caller ID" all I get it the number--no name.
I have been getting about a call a day (sometimes two) from this number on my cell phone. I am tired of getting them.
I've been getting calls from this number 2-3 times a day for the past two weeks. No one's on the line when I pick up. It's clearly spam.
I answer a switchboard as part of my job and have for 30 years. I have heard it all and search out these suspicious numbers and keep an ongoing list. These people change who they are and why they are calling because they are not legit. They are trying to get your personal info over the phone, especially your credit card info. Don't answer and if you accidentally do answer hang up as soon as you realize the mistake . My experience has been that they stop eventually. If it lasts too long you may have to report them, but these people hide behind numbers they change peridically and there is a reason you cannot find a website on them but only sites like this. They don't have a website or address. That's part of how they hide. Just don't talk to them and educate elderly family and friends about these types of callers. Those poor people get taken all the time by scumbags like these.
