Comnet Marketing is a paid marketing agency. They are paid by a company that you are associated with and you provided the phone number that they are calling. Home, Work, Cell. You gave out the information that they are using. They have a job to do, if you tell them that you don't have the time they will let you go or fully understand when you hang up.

I took the survey for American Chemical Society as well, although I am no longer a member and I find it very annoying that they give away my home address, etc. to someone who has no business knowing those details about me. It doesn't matter whether they purchased or were given that information, it is still creepy to know that someone has a hold on this type of information without me knowing.

Received 2 calls from this # in the past 24hrs - answered the 2nd one and just had dead air. I used the web link provided in the posts to request removal from their list.

Have received several calls in the last few weeks from this #, never any message until tonight. Message tonight was some man who said "Hey" and then my name and then nothing but lots of weird background noise. Looked it up on www.reversephonedirectory.com and free information returned says it is a landline in Medford, OR.

I too have been receiving calls from this number- 541-864-1492 on a daily basis. It had me nervous, but not enough to answer my phone. They never leave a message. I too decided to google the number and came to this forum. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one. However, I would like to find out how to stop it. I am on the do not call list and am unsure how they got my number.

received another call today - that's 2 in 2 days. no message.

Caller said he was calling to renew LA County Bar Membership for the attorney I work for.
