This number has called several times over the past couple of weeks. I don't answer; they don't leave a message. I'm on the Do Not Call register. If this is for a charity, I'll make sure I don't donate to it again.

Ditto to everyone else's comments above..and at all hours of the day and evening especially throughout the past month of June 2010. I have finally decided to answer the phone only to hear dead silence, then get disconnected. Very annoying.

Just called AT&T. I were told that they don't have the capability to block a number. The offered to change my number for free! What can we do to stop receiving calls from this number?

I answered the phone. It was the American Chemical Society (ACS) taking a survey for members. There was also a 5 second pause before anyone said anything.

I got a call from this number and it was from a marketing group trying to get me to renew my OMSI membership that expires in 2 weeks. I certainly would not re-new through a marketing group and give them a cut of the sale. It annoys me when a non-profit hires an outside group, who they pay plus commisions, instead of having volunteers make the calls or send letters.

Thanks for the link, I too just went there and took my number off of their list. Web site said it contracts with non-profits and we give to many such organizations so I am sure that's how they got our number. Again, thanks for the info.

It is telemarketing company contracted with the AIAA. They are calling for membership renew.
