have received numerous calls from these people and they never leave a message, so I have no idea of what they want - even received a call at 930pm at night and actually answered the phone and nobody said a word...these people sound awful and now know NOT to answer their calls

i have had 56 calls from these pests ...i won't answer the phone and they don't leave a message. i did talk to them a couple of times when they first started calling about a debt for a student loan. I became 100% dis-abled and live from paycheck to paycheck (ssi)since 1992. i have tried for 16 yrs to have this loan forgiven and to no avail. The ammount of the loan was 4557. now they claim i owe 9467. thats alot of Blood from a Turnip..hahaha

Today I received a call from DCS Inc. (1-541-956-88220 and the woman on the line was asking me about one of my neighbors. I can't believe this is legal. I'm sure my neighbors do not want me to know their personal business, and I sure as heck don't want them to know mine, unless I tell them myself. At first, I wasn't sure that it was a bill collector, but once the girl got going I knew by the way she was talking and asking questions.

Asking about across the street what building number is it and looking for Keith. I am a female, and don't live at 140. I asked how she got my number and she stated: "reverse lookup"

I got a similar message:Today I received a call from DCS Inc. (1-541-956-8822) and the woman on the line was asking me about an address 140 building, which is not mine.I gave no information and asked her how she got my number and she said reverse lookup. I asked her: "Who are you calling?" and she said KEITH.I am a female and very concerned what this is all about. Hope you catch her unless I won a BIG PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES.

yes it does happen just like that.... they called a friend of my boyfirends saying that they had a job offer for him and that my bf had put him down as a reference. When my bf called back and they informed him that they were really a collections agency. His loan was bought out from Sallie Mae. NO ONE told him of the switch. He was then treatened w/ wage garnishments and tax w/holding if he did not set up a payment plan right then and had til the end of the month to make a first payment that was an outregeous amount (which the end of the month was less then two weeks away). When he asked why this is the first time he is hearing about it and if they had tried to reash him so many times before this to inform him of the switch like they claimed they did why couldnt any one account for that. All that was said was they didnt have a record of when exactly those calls were made nor they couldnt explain why if this was so urgent a message was never left, and they couldnt recall where the letters were sent or when.... BULL!!!! It was and is nothing more then intimidation! There was no need for the rudeness and humiliation exprienced at the hands of this compnay. He would have been making payments on this loan if someone in the first place had advised him that he even had to be paying this company and not Sallie Mae who still owns part of the loan. Now they are treating him like some deliquent that cant be trusted b/c of THIER mistakes! We have gone out of the way to try to fufill their requests as to avoid the wage garnishment however they are unbending and only want their money they are not intresested in trying to work something out with you so that you can actually make the payments that you need toThey are rude, nasty, and shifty they speak down to you for no reason even when you are trying to do as they ask. they would get a better responce if they learned how to treat people w/ respect not everyone they get in touch with is a deliquent that defaults on loansIt has left us w/ a sour taste in our mouth and really makes needing to contact them in the future an unplesant thought

DCS Inc. Is a collection agency who has an office located at 1819 Nebraska Ave. Grants Pass Oregon 97527. There is a phone listed as 541-955-9606 Although they ave not answered that number before (9 Am ). They Also do not identify themselves when calling. Only asking if you are Mr or Mrs Or Ms ( someone ) demanding that you identify yourself prior to them identifying themselves. The number 541-596-8822 comes up disconnected when called backEveryone:You might want to send them a note.

I agree!! When it comes down to it if you would pay your bills and grow up you would not be getting these calls! You took advantage of an education now it is time to pay for it whether you are using it or working at Burger King! Calling references, neighbors, same names etc is not illegal. If it is a wrong# just say so, end of story. You all make it sound like they asked to take your 1st born or something. It is just a freakin phone, it can't bite you! But your past due student loan can. Deal with it and pay it!! If someone used you as a reference give up their info, they gave up yours.

First off, I'm tired of those people talking about grow up and pay your debt. I have been paying everything off on time. Yet I get a call from these people, threatening wage garnishment for defaulted student loans. about $9000 worth. I called Sallie Mae and the US Dept of ED. Both said that nothing was sold or defaulted. Everything is current. Be very careful before agree to pay anything with these people.

they called today, i feel like i've recieved calls from a number like this in the past. i never answer to numbers i dont know.. unless they leave a message, in which this number never does. i called back today and when the lady answered she asked whom i needed to talk to. I said somebody from this number keeps calling, and i want to know why. She said it was probably the "wrong number" and if it was important they would call back. i'm only seventeen what f#c*ing bills are they wanting from me?!
