Thanks for the info. I wondered. No message left on my phone, but they called three times in rapid succession. Irritating!
Just saw the call blocked. What a shame they are still at it after all these years. Still using the old number.
Got a call this morning. As previous post said it rang once then rang again and I was asleep so without thinking I answered the call. The caller was a woman asking for my daughter who doesn't live in my home. I asked who they were and they said Jackson and Wyatt and would call back. i tried to look them up and found no results.
Received a call from 608-371-6666 on 06/30/2015 at 7:15 PM, CNAM read as "Unavailable." Just signed up for NOMOROBO service, and it was blocking a call from a local home improvement company. If you redial the number, you will hear the following recording:"Hello. Thank you for calling the Nomorobo report line. Please enter the number that called you, and press the pound sign when you're finished."
I subscribe to Nomorobo and had reported this number previously. When a call is blocked, Nomorobo sends a recorded message. If the caller is legitimate, the caller must call me again and enter a code. Then the call comes through with this number as the caller ID. I've received 3 legitimate calls this way in the last few days. Since I had reported the number as a nuisance, I thought a proper explanation was in order. I'm not sure that others have had this experience but I wanted to share it.
Caller appears to be spoofing NoMoRobo number, 608-371-6666. This number shows on the display, but when I call it, I get NoMoRobo, which wants to know which number I am reporting...Wasn't sure what to do since it was their number.
Call originated from CashCental.com - a payday loan concern. They are using CallerID Spoofing to disguise their real number. First they called showing an 800 number which rolled to VM. Immediate 2nd call from the 608 number. The 608 number IS NOT Nomorerobo as prior callers have suggested.
Didn't answer due to the above listings as spam. After checking VM, it was from a vendor that I was expecting a callback from. After further checking, it's a redirected legitimate call via Nomorobo. Makes life difficult, not knowing which numbers are legitimate.
