Got a call from 608 371 6666 today about 3:30pm...this is the new and latest scam going around. The call asked, "can you hear me"...of course I immediately hung up. The CEO from AARP was on Dr. Phil yesterday and advised the public about this latest scam...they say "can you hear me" and when you answer "YES" apparently they record the answer and use it to steal your money.
Called multiple times last two days. Got through nomorobo by calling back right away twice. The message the leave is asking for the person in change of the electric bill. Trying to sell their electric rate.
Seems this nomorobo reporting number is being spoofed. Not getting this as an immediate second call after a nomorobo blocked call. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. Blocked in my Panasonic phone but I still get 2 rings first.
Yep, called (perhaps from their real number) and got blocked by my call block service. Second call was too fast to be "dialing through" the service, so their system must be set up to recognize the interception and immediately fire off a call with this spoofed number. No message was left. Blocked this number, too.Still, the two calls and reaching over to click "block caller" disturbed me at work. I hope that gets them an extra hug from their oh-so-proud mommy.
I would not pay because they have the technology so why shouldn't we get this service for free to keep us from being harassed all the time. We should not have to pay extra for every little thing. Really tired of nickel and dime-ing us.
Answered this call by mistake as I never pick up calls from people I don't know. I answered only since I was expecting a call from my life insurance company located in Wisconsin. This call turned out to be someone trying to sell Medicare supplimental plans. Since I am now becoming Medicare eligible within a few months, these types of calls are continuous. Person was kind as I explained that I have already made my selections.
Received a call from 608-371-6666 and the male called said he was from Bank of America, looking for somebody in charge of financial department. I checked this website and found this number has being Social Security Office, sleeing company, etc. Definitely a scam.
2/18/2016 @5:51pm pacific time, UCLA Health Survey left a long message, and stated that they would call again soon
