I believe this is the number that rings through when a caller is challenged by the Nomorobo service to prove they aren't a telemarketer. A State Farm agent was trying to call me about a claim from 877-783-1200 and they were being blocked as a telemarketer by Nomorobo.

They stated they were from Lenox and asked if I would like to place an order today with FREE shipping. I do order from Lenox and how they knew that is puzzling. Lenox does not offer free shipping. Told them not at this time and hung-up on them...my guess is they wanted my Credit Card info. My caller I.D. said Janesville Wi....Lenox is out of Cincinnati Oh...Good Try..You are now BLOCKED!!

I got a series of calls tonight from 8009557070 which my NOMOROBO hung up on. I then got a call from 6083716666 and they left a message. It was from CapitalOne Credit Fraud Alert Team and it was legitimate. I verified by calling back the number on my credit card. Evidently CapitalOne has a dialer which calls every number they have associated with you. They called two different landlines and a cell phone. So I had a legitimate experience with this number.

(608) 371-6666 called. That is a Janesville, Wisconsin, number. The caller left a message stating it was a call from Steven Booska's office, which Steven Booska's web site says is in San Francisco, California, but with just a PO box and no street address. Steven Booska's web site does not list the Janesville number. The caller said to return the call to (800) 565-6752, which Steven Booska's web site is silent about but other web sites do associate with the same firm. Steven Booska's web site says that firm is an attorney for creditors, so this could be a debt collection call, but there was no indication of that.

Wmb....That 608 number is the NOMOROBO number. Nomorobo plays the recording and states if not a solicitor to enter their CAPTCHA number which means it is a human calling and they can enter a bypass number. NOMOROBO rings through, but shows the NOMOROBO number in the caller I.D. So that you know the party bypassed the system, indicative that a human is calling and not a robo machine.

I just got one with that number and the caller ID said "Maine Medical Center" I call bs.. I live in mass and I know NO ONE in Maine!! lol

Nomorobo didn't block the call.

I also have NOMOROBO. I can add another twist to this mystery. My 85 year old cousin, who is definitely not a telemarketer, calls all the time. One day about 6 weeks ago, he couldn't get through using his personal line because NOMOROBO blocked him. His number showed up on my caller ID, but it was blocked after one ring like NOMOROBO usually does for spam calls. This continued to happen for a number of days and didnt clear up so I went to the NOMOROBO website and input my cousin's personal line on the website where indicated to let NOMOROBO know that they should unblock my cousin's number because it is not a spam number. Now, when my cousin calls, he still gets blocked but the number 608-371-6666 shows up on my caller ID and so if I pick it up on the first ring, I can talk to my cousin. It is very irritating for both my cousin and me. Because I reported it to NOMOROBO and then started to get the 608 number and because my cousin is not a spam caller, it seems to me that this is some screwup by NOMOROBO and not some trick that the spammers are using. Whatever it is, I just want it fixed and am thinking about turning off NOMOROBO. Don't get me wrong, I love NOMOROBO, but I can't have it blocking my family.

Same number- Caller ID said "Maine Medical Center" Bull crap!!! And they knew my name! I hung up!
