This is the answer from Nomorobo. "Thanks for reaching out. What is actually happening is that this call is from a live telemarketer that's getting past our captcha feature. See, when we block a call they are given a voice recording that tells them they have been blocked by Nomorobo, but to get through they can enter a randomized two digit code. If they input the code then the call is pushed through and it appears to come from the Nomorobo 608 Number. We have this feature in place, in case we accidentally block a legitimate call. This way they can still get through to you. This is obviously a slight hole in our protection and we are investigating ways to plug this hole and still prevent the blocking of any legitimate calls."So if this is happening to you, look for the caller just before this number and block it through your service provider. Solved my problem

I called this number back... Got a recorded voice saying it was nomorobo and asked me to input the number that called me. I input the same number and it said it was accepted or something like that, then told me to hang up.

Did not answer. Left no message.

I get a call on my home # and they start with they are calling due to a very serious issue with my laptop. When I tell them I do not have a laptop or PC any longer so what is the issue. Well before they could tell me I had to pay them. Yeah right. If I have an iPad then they would know that is not a laptop. Also they should try speaking in English and not with an Indian voice.

Call back to back several times now even with the call block on my phone.

Got two calls from this number, one from 215-375-7038 and the second from 608-371-6666. nomorobo blocked both. These scammers hope they can get their call through. I already blocked them by my phone because they tried this before. All of us are getting smarter in avoidance. STOP SCAMMING!!!

It appears that NoMoRoBo has recognized what they're doing, and is now cutting off calls spoofing their number. I've been called twice today by a number that NoMoRoBo has blocked, both times followed by calls from 608-371-6666. NoMoRoBo intercepted the follow-ups as well as the originals.

They called me 3 times. They are trying to tell me I have a security issue with my Laptop. But I don't have a Laptop I have an iPad. When I asked what security issue I first had to pay them money. It is BS.

Left message and said they had money they owed me and said my full name.

This came ID'd on CID as Maine Medical Center. Like the caller above, it came immediately after a call which had been blocked by NoMoRobo. I don't understand why this longstanding spam number was not also blocked, but perhaps they are able to get around the filter by redialing in quick sequence? Only scum of the earth masquerades as a medical emergency facility to get panicked people to pick up to hear their scams.
