Call was blocked by the robo guy. Guess someone else complained to them about this BLEEPING scam.
Guy called with a heavy accent wanting to discus "cable services" I told him to take my number off this list and they hung up. 609-225-5799
Just got a call. Person on the phone with Indian accent tells me my HP laptop has a virus, and he is calling from HP support that they are getting virus warnings every time I start my computer. He did know the model of my laptop which is a bit alarming. He asked if I could turn on my laptop and when I said I couldn't he asked if I wanted a call back. I told him no, I'll call HP directly. Definite scam.

Male caller with Indian accent. Said he was from Hewlett Packard. I've had this scam phone call before. They want to get access to your computer to allegedly fix something. Hey, it's really easy to identify this kind of a scam as HP customer service NEVER calls unsolicited. In fact, you have to beg HP for help. So, as this was the second time in sixth months, I simply hung up, after telling them I knew they were a scam!!
received call from 609-225-5799 today from guy with Indian accent stating he was calling from HP Technical support and that my computer was sending viruses and spam to the server. I stated my computer is doing what to your server? What server could this be? So the goes on to explain that I have a HP laptop computer and I stated now do I? I don't own a HP laptop so it can't be from my computer. He stated again that he was receiving signals and I stated well I'm not sure how that can be when I don't own a computer let alone an HP. So then he ask me for my name and I told him absolutely not, that wasn't my name. He then says oh ok sorry to have bothered you. I am like the nerve of these people!!! SCAM , SCAM , SCAM!! FOLKS beware and on ALERT because you can fall into the pit and possibly give up personal information to these CROOKS/SCAMMERS!! HP or whomever if you're having a problem with your system you will have to initiate a TICKET with support not a COLD CALL coming to you!!
Scammers have rendered my office phone useless. Daily influx of fraudsters means I never answer my phone at work. Thankfully I don't rely on it to do my job. No voice mail left = scam as far as I'm concerned.
Never say "yes" to the scammers. They are now recording your "yes" and using it as a consent to rip you off.
