YOUR RIGHT! It is a SCAM - I received the exact same call! Number is not traceable to any location they're calling from! When I told him I had no money and no car, but I lived in a walkable town, he asked me where the closest Walmart was; where the closest CVS Pharmacy was and where the nearest Walgreens was at. When I asked why - he said it was so that I could by "NT Tool" to fix my computer. I think they may either be 'fishing' for credit card numbers, or they are trying to get you to buy this so-called "NT Tool." I notified by internet/phone carrier and I also posted it on Microsoft's help page, because he identified his company as being a Word company if I understood him correctly!Oh the lines, scammers and frauds!!!
I am being called MULTIPLE times a day by this number and a few other similar numbers as well. 14 one day and 7 so far today. It is impossible to reach a person or leave a message, and pressing 2 to be removed from their call list results in 2 slightly different numbers calling multiple times. They will go into voicemail then cut the call off using my minutes to clear it, and there is no company name in any correspondence. I have my phone turned off now, have reported the calls to my carrier and will be changing my #.
6092255799 Just called me. Asked for me, I asked who they were and they continued, without verifying who I really was, and proceeded to try to do the HP scam with me. Seven minutes in to the call I let them know that I knew it was a scam and to never call my phone again. Scary thing is they know what laptop I bought and when. They also have my cell phone number.
This number called, it said 'Atlantic City' on caller id, earlier & my co-worker answered. They asked if I (they gave my name) was the HR manager & my co-worker confirmed that I was. When my co-worker asked to hold & she could put them through to me, they hung up. Luckily she wrote down the number & gave it to. So about 4 hours later they called back & I saw the caller caller id popped up with 'Atlantic City', I answered it. It was a female with a heavy Asian accent & asked for me by name then proceeded to try to tell me that she is calling from a Chocolatier company in San Francisco (yeah right) & they do packages for employee recognition. No matter how many times I said 'no' she kept going on. I never said yes to anything, I just kept repeating 'no' then I finally hung up on her.
