There seems to be several companies associated with this number. If it was from a legitimate loan/mortgage company they would answer when you picked up....they just want to be sure your number is correct. Also if the company was legit. they would contact you via the US post office.
609-718-2432 left message saying to call 866-430-9687 from 6-9 P.M. Central Loan Admis. and Reporting. When I called the number it was a recording asking for my social security number or account number. I hang up because I wouldn't enter my SSN# and you don't know what account number because who's the call from. It reads SCAM all the way. BE CAREFUL. We owe no loans so it has to be a SCAM.
These people called previously and left messages on my answering machine. When they called tonight they said that I was behind on my mortgage payments. I told the lady that I was not behind on any payments and that I made all payments on time and electronically. She said I was behind from last year and they had been trying to get in touch with me for some time. I said, "Listen lady, I have 3 cell phones, 2 email accounts, a fax machine and an answering machine and you should not have trouble getting in touch with me. Have you ever considered sending me a letter?" I said let me talk to your supervisor or manager NOW. She said just a minute and 3 minutes later I was disconnected. My next stop is to contact the attorney general of New Jersey and to file a formal complaint.
It's odd that so many financial institutions seem to use this same number. Like a previous poster, I had a message in to BECU about our existing motgage loan. The caller was responding to my inquiry. Was legit all the way.
Just got a call from this number. From another post I am certain it is Cenlar which does billing for BECU and I am sure many other financial institutions regarding loans. We have stopped paying or mortgage as of October 1st, so this call is legit. They didn't leave a message though.
I recieved a call several time from this number after I told them I would make my Mortgage payment by the first of the month. I try calling back but they said they don't recieved calls from this number. they can call you but you can't call them back. is this legel? is this a business? or someone playing games?
They call several times each day. Never leave a message. If I'm home and answer the phone, there is a recording that tells me to hold for an important message from Cenlar, my mortgage company. Even call my cell phone. Checked with Cenlar and there are no problems with my mortgage. After waiting and waiting for someone to say something, I hang up.
I received today a call from that number, my bank sold the mortgage, but they still processing the payments. I also have my credit card with the bank who produced the mortgage over my house. I know I was 1 week late for the credit card payment, but I made the mortgage payment, and they without even notify my, took away the payment over the credit card from the mortgage payment, and now because of that action I'm late over my mortgage. Can they do that? I do not remember they told me about they can do that without further notification. So the call was to ask for the payment, and that action affected my credit more.
The number 609-718-2432 keeps calling both my home number and my cell number and hangs up on me and/or doesn't leave any message. This is very annoying and harrassing. I am not behind on any bills so I know it's not a bill collector.
I think you posted the bank took your mortgage payment and applied it towards your credit card instead. If my reading of your post is correct, then no, the bank *cannot* do that. There may have been an inadvertent error on somebody's part so what you should do is first verify that you did send a mortgage and not a card payment, gather up your evidence and call your bank. If the bank refuses to correct it, you must complain to the bank's regulator. A speedy resolution is important, don't let this fester. Good luck.
