I also was job hunting on career builder and now I am getting calls from American Income but I don't recalling sending this company my information.
Rec'd a call from Ms. Francis Williams stating her management saw my resume on Monster and she was asked to contact me to ask some preliminary questions before setting up an appointment for tomorrow at 9:30AM in Blue Bell. She asked me a few questions that were clearly on my resume but she took no time to read. At one point I asked her if she were outside or driving with the windows open, her response was she needed to shut off the fan. I told her I was looking for something in B2B industry. She implied that is what they do. Had to pry the name of the company out of her. I stated I would call her back either way to advise if I were interested in the interview. When I went online to find out it was an insurance company I called her back and stated I wasn't interested. I asked her why she didn't tell me what line of work the company handled she stated "I didn't ask her". Note: Caller ID showed her phone number as 267-419-8825, she asked me to call back on 610-279-4801.Disappointed in Monster in the way they handle giving out information. I shouldn't be surprised.Joe
Thanks everyone for these posts. I got a call from Takea for a benefits coordinator position for the Hausman Agency. I presently am in a totally unrelated field and couldn't understand why they would be interested. So happy I checked! Can't afford to waste the time or gas.
I received a call from Kim she wanted me to interview with her this coming Monday at 794 Penllyn Blue Bell Pike At 9:45 am. When I received the call my caller ID said Frank Gamba I was very suspicious because there was no website and the information couldn't be e-mailed to me. I thank you all for the post it confirmed what I felt. Please follow your instinct.
I had the same experienceand was given the same phone number. I was never told what the company did, they got my resume from career builders and pushed to set up an interview. After checking out this place on the internet, i tried calling the number and it was out of service. Beware of any company that does not disclose what the position is,and rushes through the phone call.
Received a call from a young girl Kim James? Could have been Rick James sister for all I know..Very friendly, said it was her first appt she made...so it is some kind of a call center...said I would be a Manager of Befefits number was 267-419-8825.....THEN SAT IN A ROOM WITH 13 PEOPLE. all got separated after 2 hour information session..and met with a GM...we all left individually so no comparing notes afterward..who said they would have 4-5 people come back and would call between 2-5pm Got a call at 506pm Friday from same number and said if me and Greg Graham were a good fit I would be hired .Had to give an answer on the spot. No I would like to discuss with the wife and will give a call back with my answer later..Would not have gone for interview if I knew it was insurance sales..already did that interview..Saw the wave of people.. Thinking I will pass om this Monday at 9am interview..
I, too, received a call from this company, which the caller identified as AIL, saying she had received my resume through Monster. I only applied to one company through Monster (I keep track of all my applications), and I would never apply to a company of the type represented by this call.Trust in the Lord so you will never have to be desperate in your job search.
This company is strange very rude and unprofessional if you will!!! Don't GO they are crap and selling crap!!And will call you from different numbers to try and foul you. They need to get a life I'm not sure how they get away with thisand for so long. I told them to remove my number and never call me again, they called last week under a different name and number. No company does that......STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR GAS.....and if your smart set up an interview and never go + block your phone from that number......JERKS
Received a phone call this morning from a Francis Williams. She was talking so fast on the phone I could hardly understand her. She told me that she was from AIL Torchmark. She spoke so fast, I had to ask her 3 times to repeat the company that she was from . The first thing she said was she wanted to meet with me tomorrow at 10am at her Blue Bell, PA office. I asked her what this company did and she said they provided benefits for unions. I asked her to explain further about this company and she got agitated with me. All she said was that this job pays $35,000.00/yr, bring a resume w/ references. I asked her about the training and she again spoke fast and was unprofessional. When I said that I could not come in for an interview tomorrow, she got agitated. I told her sometime next week would be a good time and she said real fast "how bout Tuesday? ya know I cant keep giving you more dates cause.. She could not even finish the sentence. I told her I would come in next Tuesday and she said ok but it might be too late??VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISORGANIZED.POSSIBLY A SCAM.I looked on the internet and could not find the website.
