This number called my corporate BlackBerry - a very private number only given to 15 business associates and not listed anywhere. Obviously a robocall scam.
Someone keeps trying to message my cell phone from this number and unfortunately for them I use Extreme Call Blocker by GreyThinker from the Google play store and it has a message bomb program. I have unlimited texting so I turned it up to 100,000 replies and surprise they don't want to message me again LOL!!! My block program only allows people in my contacts list to call me, so their blocked their too.
These idiots some how got my cell phone number and tried calling it, but I use Extreme Call Blocker by GreyThinker from the Google play store for Android phones and only people on my contacts list can call me. Otherwise my phone doesn't ring, it answers the call, then hangs up on them and blocks them from my voice mail. Then these idiots tried text messaging me, my call blocking software also blocks text messages from people that aren't in my contacts list. My block log kept showing these idiots kept trying to message me. My blocking program also has a message bomb reply to option. I have unlimited texting so I bombed them 100,000 times 3 times. Looks like these idiots decided I wasn't worth messing with and I'm still laughing so hard 3 days later at how stupid they are for messing with me... If you have an Android cell phone get Extreme Call Blocker by GreyThinker from the Google play store and say goodbye to idiots like this forever!
I got a call today from this number too (614-717-4395). They were looking for a guy that stayed with us for a while four years ago. This company would not tell me who they were or what they wanted or even a number I could email to that guy to forward on their message (which I offered to do several times). They just wanted to know all his info: where does he work, where does he live, his phone number, etc etc. Yeah, like I give out private information about other people to any stranger that phones wanting it!I gave them an earful; they said they'd remove my number. I guess we'll see.
This person WOULD NOT identify the company they were with, simply asked if it was my # and when I said I wouldn't confirm unless they told me whom they were representing, they would not relent. "May I speak with _________?" "Is this the # for _________?" "Is ___________ available?" I told them I wouldn't identify whose line it was because I didn't know who they were, no caller ID info available, no assurance that they weren't marketing or spam, and they WOULD NOT TELL ME THE COMPANY THEY WERE FROM! Eventually, she hung up, because she knew she was caught.
I got a call today asking for a family member that I do not have contact with. however, they called on a number that has not been provided to many. She also used my madden name, but I've been married for twenty years. I'm not sure how they are getting their information, but surely this is illegal. I'm shocked to see that the threads here are dated back to 2010, yet they are still able to this even when complaints are registered with the FCC.
