It's a third party outsourced company. They have a limited command of the English language and are very pushy about arranging payment. You will NOT get off their list. My sister made a call from our house when visiting and due to medical treatments, her credit card bills have fallen behind. They won't stop calling here and say I need to pay her bill or get her to. This was after they assumed I was her and started discussing the account. They hung up on me when I said, So anyone you reach and assume is the cardholder is going to get all this personal info? I'm going to make Thanksgiving hard on her!!!!!! (I already knew about it) but that's when they hung up on me. But they continue to call, but I'm mostly not picking it up. If I do, they either want to leave a message or tell me I have the option of paying the bill.

Started receiving calls from this number on my cell. Caller indicates that there is an issue with my CC account and they need the full card number to resolve it. Obviously, this entity is trying to secure sensitive information for fraudulent purposes. I have never given my cell number to a card company, and the major card in question is my wifes. Pure coincidence.Do not respond to this number!

Amex collection agency called me during my first month of service... before i even had a bill due.

Because I do not have any business with American Express, it was not hard for me to guess that whoever called was not credible. The question now is how they got my number. Generally even if something really needs to be addressed, the companies are not going to call and ask you to call back.

Got 2 calls and they left messages each time claiming they are Amex. Called amex and reported the number. It seems to be a pretty complex scam.

I just got a call from this number and a second number showed up on same ID 602-537-9012..I did not recognize the numbers so did not answer. I Googled the 602 number and it came back from a Phoenix AK area....

This number keeps calling and leaves NO message. I have no issue with my American Express card, as I just called American Express myself. Please QUIT calling me!
