Same here. Received multiple calls. No response on lifting phone. No message is left when avoided.
This number is Cox Communications. The call can either be their collections dept or their telemarketing dept. It is an automated dialer and most of the time it auto hangs up before one of their people get to it. If like me you do not have an account with Cox when you call it you find out that, either someone has used your phone number as an primary or alternate contact # and is in collections OR they are trying to sell you their services and you are not on the Do Not Call list. One call to the customer service division at 623-594-1000 will give you the answer and stop the calls unless you ARE in collections with them, in which case, pay your bill and the calls will stop.
Just got a call from this number as well at 1:51 in the PM. Nobody answered. May the fleas of a thousand horses and the flies on all of their dingleberries infest their body hair for a thousand years. Just kidding. But seriously.
Been getting this for a week or so. Call then dead silence. Called Cox Communications where I have an account. They said they use an autodialer for bill pay problems or to notify of an outage. FCC won't allow them to bother the cell phone and leave a message - so it hangs up after detecting it is a cell. I had to give a land line as primary contact # on account. My cell is on the do-not-call list but I do have an account with them.
i got a call, it went to voicemail. no message recorded. I called them back, they said there was a typo and they are gonna correct it and I won't get any calls from them, hopefully so.I don't have account with them.
I get calls from this number a couple time a weeks, never leave a message. I know it is from Cox because I have answered before and they wanted to talk to me about my telephone services. Tell them every time that I have a cell phone only and have for years and don't want a land line but apparently they don't care.
I received a call from this number with an automated message from Cox telling me that they would be doing work in the area that would kill my services in the middle of the night. So in this case it wasn't spam, but it was redundant since I already received a letter telling me the same thing.
