These scammers pretend to be computer software technicians that get permission to scan your computer for fake/made up viruses! My elderly, paraplegic friend fell for the virus cleaning they offered. After that, they helped themselves to $1000+ of his money without his authorization! This has gone on for 2+ years. They threatened my old friend to send money or be turned in for illegal child porn they threatened to put on his computer! All whilst reminding him that they had his address and bank info. Please tell me what an elderly disabled person is to do after they have unsuccessfully reported scum to police.

Same old Microsoft scam with a heavily accented Indian Fellow. Calls all the time. The unfortunate fellow who actually has this number is getting phone calls from irate individuals who are tired of this scam. I

Caller ID showed number as +62.461.11115. After a little online research, found +62 is country code for Indonesia, 461 is area code for Banggai regency located at the eastern end of Central Sulawesi province. Received multiple calls 23-24 Aug, did not leave message. Blocked number to prevent further calls.

They insisted my computer had been hacked by a cyber security and that they needed to fix it. When I told them they were a scam and that i was going to report them to attorney general, i got transferred to her supervisor. He got very irate with me because i was not going to allow him to help me. He insisted he was going to disable my computer. Fumny he said his name was Adam Smith because he had such a strong foreign accent i could barely understand him. He finally got so fed up with me that he hung up on me after trying to get me to type CLSID and about 32 numbers on my computer. Told him I would not even turn out on for him.

When I heard that female voice with a faint accent -- "Hello? Hello? -- coming through the VM system (someone who clearly hadn't been online for the VM's outgoing message -- I mean, these people have to save their pennies too, don't they?) I just knew it was a scam, and most likely the MS scam. I must be online somewhere as a recent brain donor.

The collar insist set the client has purchased a computer and needs to set up Windows when the client has not purchased said computer and over 4 years and no longer has services with them at all they call everyday several times a day

I've gotten about 10 in the past 3 days. I told them to take me off their list.
