FIDO customer. Received two text messages back to back from "Private" number. Text content similar to others posted here, saying sender's name is "MAILOVER7". I called FIDO, who told me to send a "STOP" message and then watch my next bill to be sure that no "Premium Service" items appear on it, as that is how paid for SMS services (Joke of the Day, etc) appear on a bill.

I got the same message texted to me on my Telus phone from a butterflyd34. Not cool and not impressed
