Just got the same call - knowing this is a scam - person had thick accent - I told the person to go back to his own country, quit scamming pepole and get a real job

Received two calls from this number in quick succession after I tried hanging up the first time. The thickly accented voice told me how important it was to contact me about my PC due to privacy concerns. He wanted me to push the Windows button and R at the same time and I would see a Microsoft Configuration and then I would know his claim to be true. I told him to call back in an hour after I checked with Bask, my backup system program (which had just been updated). And they assured me it was a scam. That Microsoft would have no way of knowing about a virus or anything else on my computer unless I gave them access.

Didn't recognize number; didn't answer; they did not leave message. Caller ID: Wireless Caller

Called at 7:30am today! We never answer unknown callers.

Foreign scammers trying to gain access/control of your computer. Do yourself a favor and just don't answer the call.

Another [***] with a scam..don't answer it, Microsoft is aware of these jerks

I.go along w them pretend I have a pc I put. Phone down pretend to look.for credit card & keep stalling all I can then tell them that I don't have one don,t insult call them idiot & hang up

Microsoft doesn't just randomly call people. You have to contact them, and when they return your call it will be from their legitimate number, not a cell phone number.
