just got a call and it said the call was from Virginia. didn't answer because I heard about this scam recently (luckily)

just want them to stop don't care why or who is doing the calling just cut it out already

703-272-4699: scam call about having received $9,200 from some grant program. I asked how he got my name and number, and he said he doesn't have my name, just 1600 citizen's info who get money. I've had this guy call before with some the same scam about having money from the govenrment for people who didn't even need to apply.

They call me every day looking for "Cynthia". I ask who they are and where they are calling from, the last lady said HER name was also Cynthia. She had an Indian accent. She said she worked for Virgin Air. After I asked her more questions she hung up on me.

I received another call from this number this morning. Nobody is on the other end. I blocked the number so maybe I won't hear from them again.

Got another call this morning from 703-272-4699. Didn't answer. Afer reading all of these comments I'm glad I didn't. This was the 2nd call from that number. Give up Dude!

Received call from this number yesterday stating I have been selected to receive $450 dollars from the Governmentby Western Union. Subject sounded like someone from the middle east or India. The call came in from Virginia 703area code. Couldn't really understand him. He ask me what I was going to do with the money I was going to receive.Then he ask me for my name,and zip code. He then told me to call Mr. R brown at are code 206 Washington State206 462-5354. I didn't know anyone from those states with those number. I called 703-272-4699 unlisted or disconnected.Never called the second number. He didn't ID his company.

Caller ID says Siemens (as in the German engineering firm), but the caller says he is from Microsoft and is calling about a message he is getting that my computer has a problem.It's a bogus call, of course. He wants me to give him access to my computer so that he can steal personal information.
