Do you know why when I accept the call and the message tells me the inmate has pre-paid to speak to me, the message still takes me through creating an account to speak to him and then it hangs up on me after I've paid $25 to speak to him. I don't get it.

I've been getting these calls for about 2 weeks now. They say they are from our county jail, but to accept them I have to set up an account with my credit card number. SCAM. I will be taking care of this tomorrow.

I get a collect call from an inmate at a prison and the number appeared to be this number. I rarely hear the phone when it rings. I did the other night. I would like these calls to stop. How does this phone get cell phone numbers and then call. How do I stop this from happening?

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone. I didn't recognize it (or the area code), so I didn't answer it.There was a recorded message left, wanting to know if I wanted to accept collect phone calls from this number.Uh, no. DUH!

713-981-0098 calls me all the time it is a call link service that allows you to set up a account to accept collect calls to your cell phone people in jail all over the US. I think they are based out of Texas but can provide service to any person jail. I know this because my sister has been in and out of jail at least 5 or more times for long period of times each for yrs now. she is in Montgomery, Ala

We just got called by Global Tel Link with # 713 981 0098 and they wanted CC.#. What happened to regular collect calls? "Do you accept the charges?" and the phone call goes through. Since we did not initiate the call, law enforcement & CC companies always tells us not to give over the phone. We had a friend scammed recently saying a friend was in jail in Texas and so on, he called his friend and she was ok in California.
